THE FOUNDER
Edward von der Schmidt began Datum Research in 2023. A Princeton University graduate with a background in Economics, he worked for a decade in institutional fixed income capital markets, interest rate sales, and global macro strategy. He led a flagship daily commentary before leaving Wall Street.
In addition to following macroeconomic, geopolitical, and other developments, Eddie has dedicated considerable capacity to better understanding software, privacy, and information systems generally.
